Layered Banana Pudding

I've been baking a lot lately with my time off, so I have a bunch of recipes that I've been sharing.
I'm back with another recipe by one of my favorites-Shay!
I really love to bake, but I'm not great at altering recipes.
I love finding recipes from others and trying them out myself!

My team at school are a great group of people!
I was planning on making a main dish and dessert on our last teacher day.
A lot of times we have taco bars, soups or other sandwiches.
No one mentioned bringing in food, but most of my co-workers have kids, and I know they're super busy, so I thought I'd take on the task myself.

I had pulled pork thawing and was in the midst of finding a banana recipe to use a bunch of bananas that I had when I randomly checked my email to find an email from some of my other co-workers detailing that we'd have a taco bar on the last day of school.'
Great minds think alike!

I made my pulled pork and banana dessert anyway, and we had twice as much food!

Layered Banana Pudding:
Box of Vanilla Wafers
1 Large Box of Instant Vanilla Pudding
3 Cups Milk
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1-12 oz. Cool Whip (thawed)
2-3 Bananas (sliced)

Mix together pudding mix and milk.
Add in sweetened condensed milk and cool whip.

I used a regular dish.
You can use little bowls, a trifle dish or anything you'd like.

Layer the bottom with vanilla wafers.

Add banana slices on top.

Then top with pudding mixture.

Repeat process until all ingredients are gone.

Refrigerate until ready to eat.

In Shay's book she says that the longer this recipe sits the better it gets.
I was very nervous about this as I hate mushy bananas.
But I ate leftovers of this 2 days later, and it was still great!!

  1. You have been posting so many yummy recipes here lately! Banana pudding has always been one of my favorite desserts, but I've never made it myself. I may be trying this recipe out this weekend!
