It's the second week of summer, and I'm trying to live up these days!
Here's a little bit of what's been going on for the past week.
Thursday, June 1
I made homemade strawberry pie on this day.
If you're interested in making your own, come back next week to learn how!

Friday, June 2
On Friday evening I went to my parents to watch their latest animal craze.
We seem to get a collection of animals at their house.
We have deer, rabbits, raccoons and now a family of Foxes!
I'm guessing there was a mom, dad and three babies.
If you look really hard there are two in the picture below.
The little babies played what appeared to be tag, running and jumping on each other.
Saturday, June 3
On Saturday morning Alex was at work so I ate my breakfast and did my devotional on the back porch.
And then after my run I went to the pool to relax and read!
Sunday, June 4
On Sunday I decided to read while taking a nice relaxing bath.
I really hate showering or taking a bath.
Now I love love love to be clean, but I feel like it wastes time.
This evening was cool and rainy, so I indulged in some relaxation.
Monday, June 5
On Monday I got to enjoy running in the rain.
We were in between showers, and I went for it and got my morning run in before it really down poured.
I always loved running in the rain as a kid.
It's good to relive those days!
Tuesday, June 6
On Tuesday night we went to our little town restaurant.
It's not very healthy, but I had a fishtail sandwich and we got a pizza to share and to reheat.
We rarely ever go to this little place, but we wanted to support our local business.
And then for the first time in a long time I stayed up and watched Fixer Upper and polished my nails.
Wednesday, June 7
On this day I did something that I'm not particularly proud of.
I was driving my in-laws to the airport, and we were on a road that didn't have lines because they just paved it, well I was trying to point to where Lebron lives when I must have not been in a lane and nearly got us hit as a Greyhound bus came veering at my car.
I gunned it and safely got them to the airport!
Talk about a heart attack!!!
I really truly thought I was in a lane, but I must NOT have been.
Thank you Jesus for looking out for us!!
And that's it for Week #2.
This week wasn't as eventful, as the weather hasn't been nice.
It went from being sunny and near 80 to cool and in the 50's/60's.
That strawberry pie sounds divine, that is perfect for summer! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! Glad y'all didn't get taken out by the bus- scary!
