Friday Favorites: Kelly Ripa, Today Show and Other Fun Finds

Hey there, Friday or is it Thursday or Wednesday?!
Ha.
I have been behind on the days all week.
We've only had a three day week, which is awesome!
Sometimes the short weeks seem long, but this week has flown by in the blink of an eye!
A co-worker sent me an email on Wednesday afternoon and said they would stop by Thursday morning, and I literally had to think about it because I thought it was a couple more days until Thursday when it was actually the very next day!!

So...with that said, I'm excited for my favorite day of the week already...FRIDAY!!

I'm linking up with ErikaNarci and Andrea
We're sharing our favorites from the week.
Grab their graphic and linkup with your favorites from the week, too!

Kelly Ripa

Friends, this was the highlight of my week, and maybe even my month or year!!
We took a weekend trip to NYC last weekend.
I will be recapping it next week.
While we were there, I spotted Kelly Ripa in Central Park!

We were taking a tour and decided to get off at the northern part of Central Park.
We hadn't been up past the lake before, so we wanted to see what all it had to offer.

We stopped at the garden and then was winding our way down to the pond.
On our way, we decided to go down a different path, behind the Art Museum and I looked up and there was Kelly Ripa, her daughter-Lola, son-Joaquin and dog-Chewy.
I looked and looked again, and then I heard Kelly say something to her kids, and I knew it was her!!!
Insert me jumping for joy!!
Alex didn't realize it was her, so we continued walking and then stopped and looked back at her.
Nobody else noticed her or maybe they see her all of the time and aren't as excited as I was!
Either way, I was so excited that among the thousands of people, I would have the chance to see her!

I didn't have the heart to approach her...
1-I'm not the most outgoing person.
2-She was with her kids.
3-It was Sunday afternoon-family day to me, so I wanted her to enjoy her time with her kids.

I hope she didn't see me and think I was a stalker!

Today Show

I was up bright and early on Saturday to get ready for the Today Show.
Last year we were planning to attend.
We got up super early and made our way to Rockefeller Plaza, only to find that they weren't taping.
Coincidentally, this year there was the same golf outing, so when I woke up at 4 am, I checked the TV Guide to check and see if they were taping Today.
They weren't, so I went back to bed and enjoyed my sleep.

We decided to alter our original plans of attending the Megyn Kelly show on Monday and attend the Today Show instead.
It was such a blast!
I love listening to the Today Show in the background anytime that I'm at home during the summer or on winter break.
It feels so homey and always has the best news snippets.

We got to shake Al Roker's hand and see the rest of the gang, except my favorite-Dylan!

They even brought in a group of students and taped them right in front of us!
You can see us on the regular NBC app on Monday's show about 55 minutes in, and you can also see us behind the interview here

Empire State Building

I had read that it was best to visit the top of the Empire State building at night!
We went on a night tour, and then made our way to the top of the Empire State building around 11 pm.
It was breathtaking!!
This was Alex's favorite part of our trip!

Steelers' Headbands

My mom is always picking up random things for me.
I never know what I might find when I head out to my parents.
The other day I came home with a 6-pack of Dove sensitive soap and these cute Steelers' headbands.

Hallmark Movies

I am loving the Hallmark fall movies!
I feel like we have been on the go so much lately that I'm SO looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home full of school work, travel work, yard work and Hallmark movies!
I LOVE Lacey Chabert and was so glad to turn on the TV last night to find Moonlight in Vermont

It's been a fun and full week!
I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to travel and see the world and also come back home and work at my rural school district.
Here's to hoping you have the best FRIDAY!
Hope to see you all soon!
-Enjoy-
