Show and Tell: Memory Lane

Hey ladies!
Today it's Show and Tell Tuesday!
I'm linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals to share a trip down memory lane.

I was a 90's baby, so let's see what I remember from my childhood.
With each year that passes I swear I'm getting Alzheimer's.
I just totally forget about things.
If I don't want to remember it, I put it pack in my memory, and sooner or later end up forgetting it.
So, it was somewhat hard for me to remember what toys I played with and shows I watched.
Now, if I would have asked my brother for help, he would still be going on and on about everything we did.
Well, actually I did ask for his help because there were some things that I just couldn't remember their names.
I knew what it was about, but the name slipped passed me.
His memory is great!

So here we go...

Toys

Cash registers!!
So after you glance through these pictures you might think I had something for cash registers!
I DID!
I LOVED playing store.
I always wanted to play store and have my own cash register when I grew up.

It started with this one.

Then led to this one.

Which led to this one.
I actually remember opening this gift on Christmas morning!

To this one.
To the real deal.
My aunt actually got me a cash register for one of my birthday's.
It still sits in my parents basement.

Babies!
I loved playing with baby dolls.
I always had about 5 kids.
This is similar to one of my dolls.
I got a Lee Middleton doll.
They manufactured them in Ohio.
You actually got to go into what looked like a nursery, dress up in a gown and select YOUR baby!
The dolls look so real and have lashes.

I had mine at church one Sunday and left it unattended and came back and one of the eyelashes were half ripped off.
I was devastated.
We glued it back on, but it was still a bit off.
I can remember how my mom told me that I had to take such good care of it and be a good mommy.

Nanopets
I had this exact Nanopet, a dog.
I loved this thing so much.
I remember I had another animal, but it wasn't as great as the dog.
These things were hot stuff back in the day!

Furbay
Everyone had a Furbay, didn't they?

Pokemon Cards
Did you all have Pokemon cards?
My brother and I competed to see who could get which cards.
I always wanted a holographic Charizard, but Scott got it instead!

Beanie Babies
We had nearly every single beanie baby out there.
My mom would take us to a local store, and we would get the newer ones every so often.

Winnie the Pooh
I loved Winnie the Pooh and had nearly every single Pooh Bear you could find.
They used to have points on Pooh Bear items.
I saved up a ton of points, and then I can't even remember.
Did they stop accepting them or did I get something with them?
I have no clue.

Shows

Eureka's Castle

The Busy World of Richard Scarry

Lizzie McGuire

Sister Sister

Wishbone
This reminds me of my best friend from elementary school.
She used to love her some Wishbone.

And my two favorites...

Legends of the Hidden Temple
This is one of my favorites, but I had to text my brother to ask him the name of it.

Ultimate Favorite-Double Dare 2000

I remember this being on before church every Sunday morning.
I always wished my family could go on.
The final obstacle course looked like SO MUCH FUN!

Well, that's a look at some toys and shows from the 90's and beyond.
What great memories these things bring back.
I can't wait to see what everyone else remembered that I forgot!

  5. Your cash register obsession is cracking me up! I played with the first one at my grandparents' house, and then I know I had that 2nd one, too! You and your husband should go as contestants on Legends of the Hidden Temple for Halloween this year- the costume is hilarious!
